My creative pages

I would like to know if there is someone willing to tell me how to just change color of a Wallpaper. This is for personal use only I am not a creator of any kind I just have a lot of great Walls but would like to change their coloring to suit a particular W.Blind that I use. I have tried and got nowhere. I am not good at this at all. But if someone out there has a simple way of showing me how to do it I would be most grateful.

Open the wall you want to change with The GIMP. Select the menu item 'Tools', then go to 'Color Tools'. There will be an option called 'Hue and Saturation' or something very close to that. That will open up a panel with 3 sliders. Hue, Lightness, and Saturation. There will also be 6 color boxes at the top. I wouldn't do anything with them, just head to the Hue slider and start moving it by small increments and watch what happens to the color. Saturation will adjust how vibrant the colors are and Lightness is just that, how light the image is. Just tweak any or all of those 3 sliders until you get the desired results, click okay and save the image.

Hope that helps. There are other programs that will do this as well, but if you already have The GIMP, I figured it would just be easier to explain how to do it with that.

Thank you BlueDev I really can't thank you enough I am going to try it out and see how I go but I will be OK now because you have explained it so well.
I use the Icon Developer to re-color the icons but just had problems with the GIMP because it really has so many things to choose from.

Thank you again.
