Windows Vista
Published on October 1, 2007 By OzGirl In WinCustomize Talk
I have uninstalled my Object Desktop which I had on a purchased CD 2004 as I had trouble installing new versions of Icons, W.Blinds and so on. I don't have Windows Vista. Now I would like to know if I was to re new my membership to download the new version of OD would I be able to use it on my system? I have been away for a long time from all this and I am just starting to get back in to it all but I just need to know this before I purchase it. I am still a paid member of Wincustumize and I probably will in years to come as I believe this is the best site for a best variety of skins and customizing your computer.

When you renew, you'll be emailed a link to SDC. From there you can install all the current ODNT applications.

You can also get SDC here: https://www.stardock.com/sdnet_login.asp

Welcome back!

Thanks Zubaz, I just wonder if the new version of Object Desktop, the W.Blinds Icon Pakager and so on will work on my system. I don't have WINDOWS VISTA. What is the system requirement for using the new software.

Thank you for the welcome and reply

Can you post your system specs? All the major products work fine on an XP system.

Sorry I misunderstood OzGirl.  There is a commitment by Stardock to continue supporting XP for a while yet.  XP is still the biggest client base.

Seems like your system should have no problems. You may wish to email support@stardock.com to get their input.

If there is really a question you could try the trail-ware but I agree with Hank, you are good-to-go.  Support might be able to help, but using the trial-ware might be a faster test if you really feel the need (and don't trust Hank and myself enough).

Have updated my membership with OD. Installed it. I think it is absolutely fantastic. Much, much better than the old stuff I had. In this short time I have noticed that I had no problems with it what so ever. Prior to this latest software I had heaps of problems when new upgrades came up. But this time no. This is only a quick view of it. But it has changed the WB with no problems. IP too. See how it goes later. This is just, as I said a quick glance but I still notice that it is much smoother and no problemos so far. Love it.
